HEALTH TECH AND MEDTECH PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO
Natural storytelling
for health tech and medtech.
For established health tech and medtech brands.
High-quality production that shows real people,
in real settings, using your product.
A nurse with time back for a patient. A carer who can stop worrying. We find that moment and capture it for real, with your product in the hands of the people it's built for. Florence's images were on a fair stand in Canada within days of the shoot, and on event backdrops in France a few months later.

The problem
- Stock imagery, a smiling nurse with a tablet, and no real life in it
- Animation and screen recordings, that show the features but never the person
- Quick, in-house content, plenty of it, but none of it shows what changed for anyone
- Gaps, never enough real moments for the next launch or deck
- What can't be shown, so the moments that matter most never get captured
- No customers in it, nobody saying in their own words what's different now
Result: you've got content, but nobody can see what your product does for a person's life.
The solution
We start with one person and what your product changes for them, then plan the shoot around that moment, in photography, video or both.
- A B2B testimonial video, your customers saying in their own words why they chose you and what's different now
- The person first, who uses it and what their day looks like now
- The moment it helps, the relief, the time back, the smile, as well as the product
- Agreed first, what can and can't be shown, before anyone picks up a camera
- People at ease, directed calmly, so it feels like their life, not a shoot
- Enough to fill the gaps, stills and short clips for the website, sales and social from the same day
Outcome: people see what your product changes in someone's life, not just what it does.

Health tech at work in real settings

WHY REALCARE MEDIA
Stress-free production
One shoot produces years of usable content

Twenty-three years in commercial photography, with video now alongside, for brands including Lenovo, Tesco, Cow & Gate, AEG, VW and Lloyds, with work selected for Lürzer's Archive and 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide. Anyone can take a photo or a video. The skill is knowing what a moment needs to say, and capturing it in a way your marketing team can actually use. Most production companies know how to shoot and edit. Very few know how to show the difference a product makes to a person's life, and that's the part buyers remember.
Rebranding or launching in a new market? That's when one planned shoot pays for itself.
- Clinical-setting-aware planning, with what can and can't be shown agreed before the day
- Calm, low-disruption capture, with a small footprint so the people using your product can carry on working
- People-first direction, so customers, clinicians and your team relax and sound like themselves
- A proper brief upfront, so what we capture is what your team actually uses
- Ready-to-use files, organised for website, social, recruitment and PR
- An extension of your marketing team, not another supplier to manage
The guardrails we build into every brief
Wrong cues we avoid
- Stock nurses holding a tablet
- A screen as the only picture of the product
- Anything on show that the setting hasn't agreed
- Patient detail or sensitive information in shot
- Poses nobody would believe
Warm cues we capture
- Your product in real hands, used mid-shift by the people it's built for
- Customers saying in their own words why they chose you
- Real clinical and care settings, with consent agreed beforehand
- The team behind the product, at ease on camera
- One look that matches every launch and campaign
Natural, warm, premium
Built around your values
Delivered so your team can actually use it
Photography in action at Florence
A four-day brand shoot across London for a health tech company marketing to four countries. Office, care home, private home and hospital settings from a 104-shot brief, delivered as a library licensed for print, digital and campaigns.

The brief
Lifestyle and working photography of healthcare professionals for Florence's B2B and B2C marketing in the UK, Canada, France and Germany. "Authentic, friendly, warm, confident, human, inspiring, bold, trustworthy", with real diversity, and nothing "staged, clinical, cold" or with a "stocky feel". 104 planned shots, about 200 images, five years' usage.
The challenge
Five settings, four markets, four to eight models at once, several locations a day, mostly natural light, and a hospital that could only be booked on a Sunday. The budget was set before the plan was.
Our approach
- Quoted the whole production in plain lines, to the budget Florence had set
- A two-day recce with Elena to choose the private home and walk the hospital
- Four shoot days: two in a Chelsea office, one in a private London home, one in a hospital
- Directed so the models relaxed: "you create a good atmosphere" (Elena)
- Each day's images in a live online gallery the same week, for Elena's selects
- Kept the job moving when things changed, down to our assistant playing the patient
What we delivered
- A brand image library across five settings and four markets
- 439 images supplied across four shoot days, 35 of them fully retouched for campaigns and print
- Five-year usage for print, digital and campaigns
- Images on a fair stand in Canada within days of the shoot, and on event backdrops in France a few months later
- Elena on the result: "in terms of must-haves, we got it"
"Calm, positive, and easy to work with, Seb makes authentic moments effortless to capture. He kept us involved, stayed solution-focused, and delivered exactly what we needed without the day ever feeling chaotic."

WHAT ONE DAY CAN PRODUCE
We turn one shoot into months and years of content
Photography and video, shot together by one team. Maximum output, minimum disruption.
Video is no longer optional. People want to see your care, your product or your technology working, not just read about it. Short testimonials from the people you serve. A real glimpse of the day. What makes you different, shown rather than claimed.
But here's the problem: most healthcare teams don't have the time or skills to make professional video in house. And when they try, it either looks amateur or sits unedited on someone's laptop for months.
We shoot photography and video together. You get both, without doubling the time on site, and everything comes back edited, formatted and ready to use: short clips for social, longer pieces for your website, and stills that match.

Frequently asked questions
How do you get emotion into a product shoot?
We start with a person, not the product. Who uses it, what it changes in their life, and the moment that shows it: a nurse with time back for a patient, a carer who can stop worrying, someone getting on with their day. We cast and direct for that moment, put the product in real hands in a real setting, and capture the reaction as well as the product.
Do real users need to appear on camera?
Not necessarily. Customers and clinicians using the product are the most believable, and we work with them where they agree. Where that isn't possible, we use professional models in a real setting and direct them so they look at ease.
How do you handle consent and what can be shown?
We agree the consent process and the no-go areas with your team and the customer site before the shoot begins, and we only shoot people where approval is in place. There's a lot you can't show in clinical settings, so that's planned first, not fixed in the edit.
How disruptive is the day?
A single-site production is typically one day. We plan around the site's routines and work in short, calm sessions, so the people using your product can carry on with their work.
Can we shoot at more than one customer site?
Yes. We plan a route around the sites that give the best mix of settings and people, and keep one look across all of them.
What kinds of health tech video do you make?
Product story videos, customer stories, onboarding videos, brand videos, event and exhibition coverage, and content for launches and investor pitches. We plan each one around what the viewer needs to understand and do next.
Can we capture product, customers and the team in one day?
Often, yes. The key is prioritisation. A strong mix of product in use, a customer story and team portraits is usually possible in one day. If you want everything at maximum volume, we agree what matters most first and build the shot list from there.
What are your rates?
It depends on how many sites, the shot list, whether we're using models and where the content will run. After a short discovery call, we'll propose clear options with deliverables, so the person who signs it off can see exactly what they're agreeing to.
Ready to bring your product to life for the people who choose it?
Book a short call. We'll talk about your product, your buyers and what you need the content to achieve. There's no obligation and no hard sell, just a conversation to see whether we're a good fit.
